 In India's highly competitive premium smartphone industry, the global smartphone brand OPPO, which is one of the best-selling smartphone brands, has launched its much-anticipated OPPO Reno6 series.

The Reno series from OPPO is noted for its luxury design and enhanced functionality. As the series has grown in popularity, the firm has continued to add value to it.

Reno 6 5G and Reno 6 Pro 5G are available in two colour options: aurora and stellar black, and are priced at Rs 29,990 and Rs 39,990, respectively.

The smartphone has a 6.5-inch 3D curved display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz. For a vivid visual experience, it is stated to be HDR10+ certified.

To a large part, this is correct, as it provided a pleasant viewing experience. The display is fairly impressive, with sufficient brightness and decent view angles, thanks to the small bezels.

When watching videos, playing high-level games, or navigating between apps, the 90Hz refresh rate ensured a silky-smooth experience. However, if you are currently utilising a 120Hz refresh rate, you will undoubtedly notice the difference.

We had no problems using the smartphone in direct sunshine, and the colour reproduction remained consistent even while viewing the screen from varied angles.

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200, the company's latest flagship 5G-integrated SoC, which is designed on a 6nm CPU for improved performance and lower power consumption.

The chipset has one of the fastest smartphone octa-core CPUs ever, with a clock speed of 3GHz and up to 22% quicker CPU performance over the previous generation while also being 25% more power-efficient.

Apart from providing a flawless viewing experience, we discovered that the device is also capable of gaming, as it handled most mid-to-heavy games with ease.

While multitasking, the smartphone did not lag at all, and the face unlock and in-display fingerprint sensor both performed perfectly.

For our needs, the 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage were more than enough. ColorOS 11.3, the company's most recent operating system, is installed on the phone.

A 4,500mAh battery powers the phone, which enables 65W rapid charging. The phone lasted about a day in normal use. Pictures were taken, online and offline games were played, emails were sent, music was listened to, and films were watched.

The good news is that even if you use this phone a lot, rapid charging may come in handy and help you solve your battery problems.

The smartphone has a quad-camera arrangement on the back, which includes a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP mono camera. It has a 32MP selfie camera on the front, which is located in a hole-punch cutout in the top left corner of the display. The camera capabilities of the OPPO Reno Series are well-known.

In low-light situations, the phone functioned admirably. In low-light situations, however, it was unable to capture the same quality images since it produced slightly weaker colours and details.

The selfie camera is adequate, although we found the photos taken with the front camera to be a touch over-sharpened, making them appear manipulated.

A stronger camera output could have given this premium smartphone an extra star. To compensate, the camera app has capabilities such as Bokeh Flare Portrait Video, AI Highlight Video, Focus Tracking, Slo-Mo, Time Lapse, and more.

The stereo sound is likewise absent on the Reno 6 Pro. Reno5 is very similar to the smartphone.
